Galib Shariff BSc, DDS, M SND RCSEd, FDS RCSEd, Dip. ABOM, Dip. ABOP

Dr. Shariff graduated with a DDS degree from the Faculty of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Alberta in 1999.  He then pursued postdoctoral training consisting of a one year General Practice Residency at the Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by a two-year Oral Medicine Program at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Since returning to Alberta in 2002, Dr. Shariff is currently a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine and at the Foothills Medical Centre Dental Clinic, where he has an opportunity to preceptor the dental residents regarding the evaluation and management of patients with TMD/Orofacial Pain & oral mucosal disorders. Dr. Shariff currently holds Board Certification with the American Board of Oral Medicine and American Board of Orofacial Pain. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and has a fellowship in Dental Surgery (Oral Medicine) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, and Special Needs Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Shariff has currently limited his practice to the management of Temporomandibular Disorders/Orofacial Pain and other oral mucosal conditions.
